I see nothing at all wrong with that! + I STARTED IT so you can blame me. :]

...I...agree with that, actually. I've not talked with many people about Norse myths because I tend to get strange looks, or else that wonderful smile/nod combination, so I don't know what most people think RE: this, but I just...the gods are SUCH jerks to Loki SO MUCH OF THE TIME, I can't see how they'd be AT ALL surprised that he'd hate them and plot to bring about their downfall. He brings them amazing stuff that he did a little trickery to get, and in return...Thor chases him down and drags him back so Grumpy can sew his mouth shut for outsmarting him? And then they all laugh and party while Loki runs off in pain? WOW, WAY TO BE, GUYS. Because that is TOTALLY how you want to treat a super-powerful, fiercely-intelligent sorcerer who might well betray you all someday.

Yeah, myth!Loki gets a raw deal lots of the time. Like, giving Sleiphnir to Odin after how much of a jerk he was, why? I mean, sure, pretty ace sucking up, but still.

...I sort of wondered if movie!Odin had originally intended to love Loki just as much as Thor, but found over time that he couldn't quite manage it. That the hate and distrust and overall hostility he felt towards the Frost Giants was too strong for him to get past it entirely. That wouldn't make it better, really, but it would make it just slightly more understandable, I guess.

Not a problem at all, and no apologies necessary! Being able to have discussions without worrying about taking up those last couple hundred comment-spaces is one of main reasons I switched to posting the fic this way, after all. :D
