Five-minute flashfic. :]b [SasuSaku]

I've had the first line of this written down for about two months. The rest suddenly followed just now. :]

"...If you had to choose. Would it be them or me."
He wasn’t sure what sort of answer he expected, but then again, he wouldn’t’ve bothered asking in the first place if he’d known what she’d say or how she’d react. Perhaps he’d earn himself a flicker of surprise, perhaps a tensing of her shoulders and a tightening of the skin around her eyes, a sideways look of skepticism and considerate calculation.
The open smile he actually receives takes him utterly unaware, and he’s the one looking at her with that flicker of surprise, but that smile doesn’t falter as her hand finds his and she twines their fingers together.
She doesn’t answer in words, at least not any that are spoken aloud, but they shine from her eyes and sparkle in her smile, fresh and clear as a spring day:
You, of course.

I am very concerned about traitor!Sakura now. Also, my brain just went off on a tangent in which Naruto is utterly emotionally destroyed because not only did he not bring back Sasuke, he lost Sakura too, and I can't see him trying to beat her down in any circumstances. Not without going into a spiral of depression and despair. And partly I'm just keyed up, but seriously- Naruto in despair never fails to make me go D: .

Even if the series isn't as grand as it once was, Naruto unhappy punches me in the face unfailingly and repeatedly. Some characters you hate to see sad. D:

Meh. I guess I really am just a sadistic biznatch then, because most of the time when characters are sad (in ANY series, be it anime or not), I'm laughing at them for some reason or other. :X

Usually I'm pretty sadistic too, and I feel bad for characters but there's a delightful element of schadenfreude there too. Like, it hurts my heart when they're hurting, but it's like how crying feels miserable but good at the same time or whatever- I'm sure you know what I mean. Like, in d.Gray-man? Or Lost? Or of course in Weiss. But for some reason, Naruto's one of the ones that I just really get honestly upset when he's got it rough. Which, I've no idea why, because if I ever met him IRL I'd probably smack him for being so damn obnoxious.
Inorite? Like, every username ever is totally used up, so it took a while to come up with one that wasn't real name + numbers.

Nope, all sadism for me. :D Unless a series throws a hard curve I totally didn't see coming, and then I'll be too surprised to be sadistic right away, so the character(s) involved might very well get a flash of pity. WEISS, oh lawl. You cannot even BEGIN to take their angst seriously. Unless you're drunk, or otherwise emotionally overwrought. Then the series is a heart-stopping tragedy. ;^;

I'm such an easy crier when it comes to fake people. It is pretty absurd. But Weiss- yeah, I started out like, "Whoa, that sucks." Then I was like, "Oh no, that poor boy!" And then I was like, "Seriously, she's his bastard half-sister, and he's a bastard too, and his dad is trying to kill everyone everywhere for no apparent reason and then she is accidentally killed in his arms with a bullet intended for him by the invincible sadist? Are they serious? *sporfle*" It's like that whole show, is "What's the worst thing that could happen to this character? Let's do that. And then it also rains."
I took a few tries. And by few, I mean lots. But it works now! Now to learn how to use it.
