...I kinda surprised myself with the turn this one took. I'm not real big into the whole "biological clock ticking" thing (though I do love a good badass!protective!mother story)--I certainly don't ever want any kids of my own, so I'm not implying that ALL WOMEN WANT BEBEHS with this or anything, but...I know a large portion of women do, and flashback!Konan was so sweet, I can't imagine her not being one of them.

Partly inspired by lethalpapercuts (i.e. croisee)'s interaction with my Dei over at laststopgakuen a few months back and yes I only just now finished it SHUTUP.

...Also. The name "Pain" still just strikes me as so incredibly stupid-looking, I couldn't bring myself to use it. So "Pein" it is, and if you don't like it, you can just STFU. :D
